First Minnesec meeting is July 26, 2007 at 6pm. The first meeting is at the Local in downtown Minneapolis -- directions.

What: Peer to peer security meetup. Security geek to security geek.

No vendor pitches. No compliance check box Olympics. No membership dues. No PHB.

Goals: have fun, learn stuff.

I am interested in stopping by for this, but doubt I'll be able to spot you Gunnar from the photo on your blog and (depending on how busy the place is) would prefer to not have to wander around asking random people "MinneSec?".

Any tips on how best to find the group are appreciated. Also, thanks for putting this together -- I'm hoping it is/becomes a popular thing so I can expand my security horizons and hopefully pass along some knowledge myself.
